When can a baby eat pineapple?

Most babies are ready for solid foods at the age of 6 months. Many experts encourage parents to proceed with caution when giving citrus and other acidic fruits to younger babies. According to HealthLine: If your baby is sensitive, you may want to delay introducing pineapple until they are closer to 1 year. You may also start with small portions and mixed with other fruits to see how your child’s system reacts.

What is important to know?

We recommend using fresh pineapple, because of the sweeteners in canned pineapple. Or choose a canned version with no added sugar and salt.

Make sure to remove the core of the pineapple!
