Carrot and cauliflower puree

If you’re looking for tasty, easy, and healthy baby food purees with carrots, you’ve come to the right place. In this article, we share a recipe with carrots and cauliflower.

Age: 8 months+

Ingredients:

  • 2 Carrots
  • A few cauliflower florets
  • A cup of breast milk or formula (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1 – Clean and chop up the cauliflower and boil for 20-30 minutes.

Step 2 – Clean and peel the carrots and cook them for 10-20 minutes.

Step 3 – Add them both to a blender or food processor and blend until it has become a smooth cream. You can add breast milk or formula to make the mixture slightly thinner.

When can a baby eat carrots?

You can start introducing carrots into your baby’s diet at age 4-6 months as this is the time the baby is ready to start solid food.

It is important that your baby can sit up straight and keep his or her head up. If you are in doubt if your baby is ready for solid foods, consult a medical practitioner.

How to prepare carrots for baby food

You can choose to kook the carrots or steam them. This makes the carrots super sweet and soft, and easy to puree.

You can also use carrots raw. Grate the whole carrot into small strips, this makes it easier to puree.
